Welcome to the Kenton Ridge Guidance Department Page!

The guidance office staff is here to work with students, teachers, parents and administration to meet the needs of our students. Our office provides various services, including scheduling questions and concerns, small group counseling, individual counseling, and college and career guidance. 

Parents are the best person a teen can talk to, but sometimes, students need extra help.
Mr. Hawke and Mrs. Young are here to assist the student and parent as best as possible through any and all situations big or small.

School Profile 2024-2025

Community: Northeastern Local School District is one of seven school districts in Clark County, Ohio.  It is the second-largest school district in Clark County.  Kenton Ridge High School is one of two high schools serving the Northeastern Local School District. The Kenton Ridge attendance area is primarily suburban, consisting of several housing developments that are expanding rapidly. Springfield is the major city in the county and is located approximately two miles from the high school. International Truck and Engine assembly plant and Woeber Mustard Distribution Center provide a major portion of the tax revenue received by the district. In addition to Kenton Ridge, NELSD serves students at Northeastern High School, which is located in an agricultural area. 

School: Kenton Ridge is a public school housed in one building serving grades PreK-12. KR’s Middle & High School serves grades 6-12. The following information is specific to High School students in grades 9-12.  

Enrollment: 616--73 attending the Career Technical Center, CTC. Due to COVID-19, the district went to remote instruction beginning March 16, 2020, for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year.  For 2020-21, students/families could choose between full-time virtual instruction or in-the-classroom instruction. On March 1, 2021, the District returned to normal operations.
